this weekend has been AMAZING! tell you about it then? don't mind if i do!
i knew saturday was going to be a great one from the get go. the morning was spent relaxing though i did have to fight a little nausea blech. and getting dressed a longer process than normal lately. my sister in law/personal shampoo girl came to wash and dry my hair. i could *really* get used to that action. so relaxing! did makeup and even put on a skirt! i looked darn cute, if i do say so myself.
all this "gettin' ready" or "fixin' myself" as Little Dude says! because my Judson (College) big sister and my bestie also a Judson girl were coming to play with me in the afternoon. now, i can't explain the big sis/little sis relationship. it's just one of those things you have to experience to understand. ALL Judson girls are sisters and have shared experiences which make us close but the big/little sis thing is just...more. my big and i haven't seen each other in years but that doesn't matter one teeny little bit! anyway, it's like we've never been apart! i mean, we had to catch up but...yeah. i don't think the three of us stopped talking for HOURS. we enjoyed a little snack of corn nuggets a staple in any Judson girl's diet! at the park and a little shoe/purse shopping insert girl stereotype here. (i got the most adorable pair of ballet flats complete with houndstooth bow!) and just thoroughly enjoyed girl time.
then it was SHOWER TIME!! people. this may have been the single best shower of my entire life. it was faster and cooler than my usual showers marathon showerer here. love it. but it was the best feeling! i *finally* felt completely clean! i must add that it is more difficult than you'd think to wash numb body parts. a good portion of my torso is numb right now! ahhhhhh.
got up this morning another shower! AND i washed my own hair! and went to church. blessings!! people are SO kind! everyone spoke and was glad to see us. y'all, we're not members there. we've just been attending with my Daddy for a couple of months. Little Dude's teacher AMAZING lady! let us know they've set up to bring us food once a week for the next little while. um, YUM! how awesome is that? a great start to the day.
got the business of the day, grocery shopping, out of the way and headed to the pool. Grandma (my mother in law) has a pool. woot! we'd gone to Academy and gotten me a rashguard (one of those swim shirts) to wear so as not to...um...show anything. not that there's anything TO show but i don't want to traumatize anyone either. i put on my bathing suit and decided it didn't look half bad. what a pleasant surprise! so, we hung out by the pool i'm still not allowed to swim so i just got in waist deep to cool off and messed around. nice relaxing day...just what the doctor ordered! well surely one of my 687946841 doctors would order it!
we are well and truly blessed!
