had my 6th chemo (of 8!) treatment yesterday. the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter! the big news was that my white count was low. this has been my usual cycle but we were hoping with the new poison, it wouldn't be quite as low. since it was on the borderline, the doctor said we'd go ahead with treatment. anyway, she said if it continues, we either go back to the EVIL shot or space out treatments. um, NO. spacing out treatments will not be happening. the doctor knows i don't want to do that and she's on board. so we'll do the shot, if needed. it's definitely super crappy but i'd rather just deal with it than have treatment go longer. i've got my prayer warriors on it so it's all good! the Great Physician is at work here!
as of today, 27 days until the last treatment! not that i'm counting or anything. ha!
yeah, the hair/eyebrow thing? i was just seeing things, i guess. or just hopeful. anyway, it ain't happening just yet. in fact, every time i draw on my eyebrows which i have to do now because they're pretty thinned out i pull out a few more hairs! how's that for ironic? and the doctor told me yesterday that i shouldn't be shocked if my lashes start coming out too. which sucks. i have awesome super long lashes. they'll come back eventually...along with everything else. whatever. i've come this far so what's a few eyelashes, right?
Christmas stuff has been put out at our house! i'd like to get a couple of Christmas-y pillows for the couches if i can find some cute ones for cheap, a couple of hand/dish towels and pot holders saw some at the Dollar Tree, and think i'm going to make a wreath. i try to add a few new little things to the Christmas decorations each year. makes things feel new and doesn't cost a ton all at once. last year we added another tree! a playroom tree for Little Dude so he can decorate it with all of his ornaments and move them around as much as he wants. it bothers my OCD for him to do it on the big tree. yes, i know. i'm awful.
all in all, i'm well. since my hissy fit, i feel like things just keep getting better. even setbacks like the white count/possible shot thing doesn't seem so bad. not great but not so bad. God is here but now beside me instead of having to carry me. it's a good feeling, i tell ya! i'm SO blessed!
