we did the surgeon's office yesterday.  more waiting.  not too long though.  more paperwork.  i can do this stuff with my eyes closed now!  went over what would happen.  was told we had to be at the hospital at 5am.  DISGUSTING time of morning.   that means i'll need to be up by 3:30.  i have special soap i have to shower with before we go!  i have to be injected with some sort of radioactive/glowing something so they can see my sentinal node (or whatever it's called) to test it.  surgery will start around 7am and will be 5ish hours long.

plastic surgeon's office today.  went over all kinds of things.  had to show the girls again.  seriously.  WHY do i wear a shirt anymore?!?  told us we'd probably be in the hospital until sunday-ish.  ugh.  luckily the hospital has wifi so we can keep ourselves entertained.  and then we got sent on to preregister.

preregistration SUCKED.  wait, wait, wait.  paperwork first.  wait, wait, wait again.  then had to pee in a cup don't miss! and give blood for some tests.  and that freakin' HURT.  i'm pretty sure she used me for a voodoo doll.  it STILL hurts!  more paperwork.  the same stuff i've been doing for weeks now, btw.  you think they'd share information!  change into a gown again! and wait some more.  finally went for a chest xray.  did NOT have to show my boobs! woot!  and DONE!

so now the countdown has started.  there is a lot to do!  i've got to pack my stuff for the hospital.  i've got to pack Little Dude's stuff for as many days as i *might* be gone.  i have seriously awesome packing skillz.  i love to pack.  not so much for THIS but i do like packing.  gotta get all the sheets for the beds washed and beds remade.  clean, clean, clean the house.  surprise, surprise...i like to come home to a clean house.  of course, i'll be on drugs so i may not care one way or the other!  here's hoping!  ;o)  the doctor gave me a little somethin' somethin' for my nerves good, good man! or i'd be going nuts!

tomorrow i definitely have to make time to swim.  it'll be the last time i ever go without my built in flotation devices!
