the second half of chemo starts tomorrow. that means a new poison also known as chemo and the start of my Herceptin treatment. i'll have that one by infusion weekly until the end of chemo and then every 3 weeks for the next year. that's where the HER2+ information comes into play. every three weeks? come on, that's nothing!
i don't know what to expect from this half. i know what i WANT to happen! i want it to be much, MUCH easier! i'm told that i made it through the "hardest part" and i *really* want that to be true! i want to regain my energy and be able to DO things. getting my tastebuds and hair back would be great but i'm not holding my breath on those! i'll get there...eventually.
i realize that i may be setting myself up for disappointment but i can't help being optimistic! as rough as the first half or last week was, i think i've rallied! i've gotten my second wind and regained my positive outlook. it got pretty iffy there for a bit! i can do this! and only FOUR MORE! the end is now in sight!
i'm fixin' to show this mess who's boss, y'all! better start practicing your victory dances now, kids. we'll be needing them SOON!
