it's HOT. and for us, hot weather which i love and live for, btw means swimming. which obviously means bathing suits. now, i have an affinity some say love, most say addiction for clothes and swimwear. because of this, i've got quite the collection to choose from when heading to the pool each day. okay, not EVERY day but most! one of my favorites just happens to be a strapless one piece cut in a sort of "retro" style. it used to look...meh, okay. now it looks AWESOME and is one of my favorites. why? no "sag factor", of course! just one more way to look on the sunny side of all this cancer business! i'm silly. i know this. just give in and roll with it! don't hate...appreciate! haha!
i recently looked through my HUGE stack of cards/notes from everyone. yep, i've kept every one! they always serve to remind me of everyone's thoughts and prayers for me/us during a really, really hard time. i am so thankful to have such wonderful people in my life! and wonderful people in your lives! i have cards from strangers to me but friends of yours. i am touched by the outpouring of love! PROOF that people are good and kind and loving. i also have a huge container of hats from everyone! i'm just gonna be too cute during winters now!
on the running and biking front...
i'm now running more of the 5K distance than i'm walking! i am SO proud of myself!! i continue to improve with my endurance every time i run, too! and i don't even have to get someone to make me run or keep going anymore. yeah buddy!
i need to bike more often for longer distances and should be able to get more training in now that my Love is working earlier hours and gets home earlier in the afternoon. looking forward to doing a lot more riding with him (and Little Dude).
about this time a year ago we were just starting this journey. we'd felt the lump and i had a doctor appointment scheduled. we were going about our summer and having fun. who knew that our world would be turned upside down in 2 weeks?! well, God knew. and He was there. watching. waiting. prepared.
the anniversary of my diagnosis is right around the corner. and believe me, i've been thinking a lot about it. and will definitely be blogging on it! that was definitely a dark day for me/us. but now all we see are blue skies, blessings, and good things ahead! thank you Lord!
yes, i realize i haven't posted hair pics in quite a while. we're too busy having fun! and we're in the pool most days so my hair looks...special. i'll get some posted soon, mkay?
