the pre-op appointment is done and hospital pre-registration has occurred. blood was drawn (and no, why the heck would we be able to use my port? that's not WHAT IT'S FOR OR ANYTHING! merp.) and...er...other lab work was done. the implants have been ordered, things have been measured, and a plan has been made. surgery is MONDAY. er, 'scuse me while i go hurl...
i'm not sure it really makes sense but i'm ready and nervous at the same time. and since when do i make sense anyway?! i'm ready because it's one step closer to back to "normal". one less thing to have to do. one less thing to have to make plans around. and one more thing to put in the rear view and leave behind. buh-bye cancer! you suck!
and side note, summer with the "new girls" is gonna be AWESOME! oh yes. i went there. just looking for the good in the situation! teehee!
i'm nervous because it's surgery. i'm always a bit scared to be put to sleep 'cause...well...you know...stuff could go wrong. and i'm *really* scared it's gonna hurt. again. yeah, yeah. pain meds and blah, blah, blah. but i'm still scared! but as with everything else, God's got this. and i know it!
the good news is that this one shouldn't be "as bad" and recovery should be a little easier. and depending on what the doctor has to do, i may not even need any drains! so, i'm gonna plan for the worst (drains) and hope for the best (no drains)!
other than that, there's not too much going on...
-my hair just keeps on growing! it's spiky and super duper soft. i think it looks pretty dang cute myself! we haven't gotten the clippers ahold of it yet, either. just can't bring myself to do it! still waiting on those chemo curls i keep hearing about!
-i actually had to do some work on my eyebrows this morning. they're looking a little...wild. awesome!
-lashes are doing well, too. in fact, today my top and bottom lashes are kinda sticking together! they're getting longer and longer! won't be too much more until they're back to full long, lush glory.
-my Love and Little Dude have crazy amounts of hair. i'm talkin' serious hair.
and in NOT cancer related news...
Little Dude jumped on his bike and just started riding like crazy the other day. he'd put it away in frustration in early fall. so now he's crazy for bike riding! we rode up to, around, and home from the park yesterday and the day before. it was so great! my booty begs to differ though. ouchie! i'll be purchasing some special bike britches. they have booty padding! he has said he'll be helping me train for my 25 mile ride. he's gonna be a GREAT training partner.
okay, enough distraction from thoughts of surgery! i've got LOTS to do in the next couple of days. this house has to be super clean before i'm out for a few weeks! so my guys can mess it up! so i reckon i'd better head on to beddie bye...
